Get in the city.
New to Miami Beach — or new to FiveM entirely? This walks you from zero to spawned-in, teaches you how we actually play, and answers the questions everyone asks. Use the menu to jump anywhere.
About the city.
Before you install anything — here's the shape of the server, so you know what you're stepping into.
Semi-serious roleplay
PVP and RP live in separate zones — you always know which mode you're in. Casual players and dedicated roleplayers both have room to breathe.
Balanced, skill-based gunplay
Semi-automatic weapons only. Fights come down to positioning and aim, not who has the biggest full-auto — it keeps combat fair and story-driven.
Loaded with custom content
Custom jobs, businesses, vehicles, apartments, phones, tutorials — everything you need to settle in is already built into the city.
Getting started.
Four steps from nothing installed to stepping off the plane in Miami. Do them in order.
- 01
Get GTA V
FiveM runs on top of a legal copy of Grand Theft Auto V on PC. Grab it from Steam, the Epic Games Store, or Rockstar — any legit PC copy works. (Console copies won't run FiveM.)
- Steam, Epic Games, or the Rockstar Launcher — all fine.
- It goes on sale often — check before you buy.
- Launch GTA V once to the main menu so it finishes setup, then close it.
- 02
Install FiveM
FiveM is the free multiplayer client that lets you join custom servers like Miami Beach. Download it, run the installer, and let it link to your GTA V install.
- Download from the official site only — fivem.net.
- Run the installer; it auto-detects your GTA V copy.
- First launch downloads game assets — give it a few minutes.
- 03
Join the Discord
Our Discord is home base — free whitelist, support, announcements, and community events all live there. Request whitelist and the role is granted instantly (your Discord account must be 6+ months old).
- Request whitelist in #whitelist-request — free + automatic, no application to wait on.
- Grab your roles in #self-roles to set up your Discord profile.
- Read the rules channel before you load in.
- Link your Discord at checkout later to auto-sync supporter roles.
- 04
Touch down in the 305
Connect and it begins where every Miami arrival does — stepping off the plane at Miami International Airport. From the terminal, a guided onboarding walks you through the essentials: grab your first rental, open a bank account, and pick up the keys to your starter apartment. By the time you leave arrivals, the city's yours to run.
- Land at Miami International — your character's first steps in the city.
- Follow the onboarding: rent your first car, set up your bank account.
- Collect the keys to your starter apartment — a home base from day one.
- Finish onboarding to unlock your starter pack, then the whole map opens up.
Roleplay basics.
Miami Beach is semi-serious roleplay — the story comes before the shootout. Here's the mindset and the lingo to jump in like you've been here for seasons.
Stay in character
The moment you load in, you're your character — not a player behind a screen. Talk, react and make choices as they would. Keep out-of-character chatter out of the scene — save it for Discord.
Value your life
Your character fears death, injury and a gun in their face like a real person would. When you're outnumbered or held at gunpoint, comply and roleplay the fear — don't fight impossible odds just because you'll respawn.
Story before the shootout
Miami Beach is semi-serious: build the moment before you escalate. A robbery, a beef, a deal — give it setup and dialogue. Cheap, instant violence with no lead-up breaks the immersion for everyone in the scene.
No powergaming
Don't force outcomes your character can't guarantee. Give others room to react to what you do — never railroad an action that leaves the other person no way to respond.
No metagaming
Only act on what your character actually knows in-game. Info from Discord, streams, a friend's POV or an OOC message doesn't exist to your character — using it is metagaming and kills the story.
Respect the new-life rule
If your character is downed and respawns (New Life Rule), they forget the events that led to their death and can't return to that scene or seek revenge. A fresh life is a clean slate — let the story move on.
Know the lingo
In Character — anything your character says, does or knows inside the city.
Out Of Character — you, the player. Kept out of scenes — tickets or Discord.
New Life Rule — after respawning you forget your death and don't return to that scene.
Forcing an outcome or action the other player can't react to. Not allowed.
Using OOC info (Discord, streams, POVs) that your character wouldn't know. Not allowed.
Roleplaying realistic fear when your life is genuinely in danger.
Provoking police with no real IC reason, just to bait a chase. Not allowed.
Vehicle / Random Deathmatch — killing with no roleplay lead-up. Bannable.
City life.

- Mechanic shops — install customizations, run performance builds, contract with dealerships.
- Real estate offices — flip apartments, manage rentals, broker high-end deals.
- Legal fronts for illegal ops — every clean business can double as a laundering channel if you play it right.
- Starter apartments — issued through onboarding at the airport. Small but yours, with a stash and wardrobe.
- Mid-tier condos — waterfront and downtown units, 2-4 room layouts, upgradable garages.
- Luxury penthouses & mansions — Ocean Drive, Star Island, private beachfront. Bought at auction or off-market.
- Garages — separate ownership; scale from a 2-slot to a warehouse depending on your fleet.
- Real-estate market — houses trade between players. Prices move with demand; timing is everything.

Specs, performance, and where to get help — the practical stuff that keeps your first session smooth.
Recommended specs
FiveM runs on most modern PCs. 16GB RAM + an SSD makes loading and streaming smooth. A mid-range GPU handles the city at 60fps.
Performance tips
Close background apps, keep FiveM + your graphics drivers updated, and lower shadow/grass settings in-game if you dip below 60fps.
